Sarah Haley – President

Hi, I’m Sarah Haley and I currently serve as the Meridale Board of Directors President. I am a North Carolina native and have called Charlotte “home” for over a decade. I have lived in Meridale for 7+ years with my husband, John, our dog, and our two-year-old daughter. What I love most about Meridale is the sense of community and the neighbors who have become some of my best friends. When I am not working full-time, you can find me doing something outdoors (unless it’s really cold outside), at a brewery, or cooking!

Marcus Adams – Vice President

Hello, Neighbors! I’m Marcus Adams. My wife and I, along with our son, moved to Meridale in late 2018, and our daughter joined the family in 2021. I’ve proudly called Charlotte my home ever since attending UNC Charlotte. Previously, I served on the board of my former neighborhood, which had fallen into disarray. Through hard work and collaboration, we managed to restore it to its full potential. Now, I am excited to bring that same dedication and enthusiasm to Meridale. I look forward to partnering with the new board and our neighbors to make Meridale one of the best communities in Charlotte!

Anne Johnson – Secretary

My husband and I were lucky to move to the Meridale neighborhood in late 2018. Previously a Western New York native, I am thrilled to now experience sunlight and a ground free of snow. After a decade of teaching fifth grade science, I am taking some time off to parent our two-year-old daughter. Previously the editor of the Meridale Newsletter, I am excited to contribute further to the neighborhood that has welcomed my family and brought us a close-knit group of friends. In my free time, I love to sew, read, and garden.

Lydia Wang – Member at Large

Hi, I’m Lydia Wang, and I’ve lived in the neighborhood since 2019 with my husband and our dog, Bella. I’m a pharmacist by profession and bring an even-keeled, organized approach to serving on the HOA Board, always keeping the homeowner’s perspective in mind.

I was motivated to join the Board to help support our community during a time when volunteer leadership is needed and because I’ve been encouraged by the work the current Board is doing. I also serve as Treasurer for a professional pharmacy organization and have experience with project planning, event coordination, and community communications.

My focus as a Board member is on keeping our neighborhood safe, addressing concerns such as speeding, staying aware of what’s happening in the community, and helping maintain reasonable dues for residents.

Natalie King – Treasurer

Hi, I’m Natalie King, and I’ve lived in Meridale since 2019. I work as a civil engineer for the City of Charlotte and live in the neighborhood with my husband, two dogs, and a cat.

I’ve served on the Meridale HOA Board before and have experience with project management, including working with budgets, timelines, and long-term planning. I chose to return to the Board as a way to volunteer and help ensure the community continues to be well run, especially knowing there is a need for engaged Board members.

In my professional work in land development, I regularly collaborate with developers and landowners who often have differing priorities. That experience has taught me to focus on the facts, think logically, and work toward practical middle-ground solutions, which I hope to bring to my role on the Board
